– Jordan Klapman –

Jordan is a versatile pianist, band leader, accompanist, vocalist and composer with more than twenty years experience performing in venues across Canada and the Caribbean.
Jordan's first love is the music of 1930's Harlem; the era of 'Fats' Waller,
Duke Elington and the great 'Stride' piano players whose
upbeat style rocked the Cotton Club.
Jordan's influences and abilities extend
well beyond the idioms of Jazz and Swing,
and include Latin, Broadway, Klezmer,
Country, Rock, and Motown.


– Bands –

As a Solo Artist, Jordan has appeared
at the Park Hyatt, Royal York, and the Rosewater
Supper Club among other top venues in Canada.

Jordan heads several popular Jazz Duos,
featuring vocalists, guitar, second piano, and reeds.

Jordan's Trios and Quartets feature piano, bass drums, vocals, sax and guitar.

The Dance Band performs Swing, Big Band, etc.

Klapman's Klezmer Band performs this joyous Jewish music in the Yiddish, Israeli, and Sephardic traditions.

Jordan's recording projects include the JUNO Award-nominated Yiddish folk song album, 'A Feygele Zingt', and the newly released country album 'One Kiss Closer to Heaven'.
